Aside from the transparent, readable translations of Ginans by Pir Shams, Kassam provides all of the pieces of her effort: Bibliography, Notes on Names and Epithets, Incipits, Translator's Preface, Introduction, and a half dozen essays of varying length. Even her extensive Notes||It is rare to find South Asian poetry translated into English in a fashion that gives an impression of the poetic power of the original.
