But I found my self wondering what I was reading. The translation in this book was not as awe inspiring as I had hoped it would be. So I went out and purchased a more recent translation by Ali and I loved it 25 times over this
The English translation with Introduction for each Surah (part) of the Qur'an. This edition does not include the Arabic text and translator's commentary and notes.
The whole presentation is perfect and superior to any that has appeared hitherto. The purity and the rhythm of the language and masterly exposition of the fundamental problems of human destiny are the salient features of this monumental work.
